I attended at IJM LAND Seremban 2 Sales Gallery,
on 20th November 2019.
The IJM Land Designer Awards (iLDA)
=> Aims to nurture young talent and uncover the excellent ideas
of participants who are below the age of 40 years old.
=> Main objective is to create a healthy competitive environment and
a platform interior designer to showcase their creative work.
=> Open to individual and professional interior designers.
=> A great opportunity for local designers to challenge
the status quo of design to cater to growing demands of this industry.

=> Aligned to this, iLDA will honour the best interior designers nationwide
by providing them with the publicity, exposure and recognition that it deserves.
Seremban 2
=> IJM LAND's flagship development in Negeri Sembilan
is a 2,300 acres self contained township offering modern amenities and
convenience of a city while maintaining the grace
and serenity of a country atmosphere.
=> To date, Seremban 2 has emerged as one of the most progressive and
successful development in Negeri Sembilan and the development are
currently at 90% completion with population of 50,000.
Kalista 2
=> a beautifully designed and unique freehold development
located in Jalan S2, Seremban 2 Garden Avenue,
Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
Kalista 2 is easily accessible via major roads and highways.
The built up area of the units in the development ranges
between 926 sq ft and 1561 sq ft.

The theme for IJM Land Designer Awards 2019 is
Modern Family + Space,
where it aims to guide young interior designers
to conceptualize and actualize designs that not only promote family interactions
but also to utilize the surrounding space to improve
today’s modern family bonds.
This year a total number of 116 concept entries were received.
IJM Land Designer Awards 2019 (iLDA 2019)
came to a close after a fierce battle amongst two shortlisted contestants
who vied for the title of
the Best Young Interior Designer of iLDA 2019
at Seremban 2 Sales Gallery.
iLDA 2019 award also include cash prizes of
RM10,000 and RM20,000.
Lee Jun Yan and Boon Zi Yang, were shortlisted by
a panel of judges to actualize their concept, ideas and plans
for the competition themed, Modern Family & Spaces
at Kalista 2 Executive Apartments, Seremban 2
(Space size: 1,182sf) within the budget of RM120,000.00
With only a five-week duration provided to execute their concepts
in an empty unit from ground work up to the
detailing of the apartment, the two contestants went head-to-head to ensure that their
concepts were to a tee at every corner of the apartment.

Before the award ceremony start, we got to visit
Kalista 2 Executive Apartment at Seremban 2
to check out the completion units of both shortlisted contestants for the on-site voting.
First, we went to check out Lee Jun Yan's unit,
right after that we check out Boon Zi Yang's unit just right opposite.

Finally the Award Ceremony started!
Welcome-note by emcee.
Opening Speech by Dato' Hoo Kim See,
Senior General Manager for Central Region of IJM Land Berhad.
Dato' Hoo shared iLDA’s delight as this year they
has received quality submissions and hope that this competition
will contribute greatly to the interior design industry as the number of entries
continuously grow in years to come.
Dato' Hoo also said that The iLDA 2019 is to ensure a healthy
competitive environment among local interior designers,
where they are able to showcase their creative work and
challenge the status quo of design.
It is important that young interior designers evolve along with the ever-changing
demands of this industry and they want to provide a platform
that enables interior designers to execute work
and give it the recognition it deserves.
